Mission Statement
We, the parishioners of St. Mary of the Assumption located in Waterford, New York, are a Eucharistic-Centered community who bear witness to our faith by the celebration of the sacraments, by our ministries and by our devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Through our many ministries, we offer praise to God and by our Christian service, we offer support and comfort to those in need. We strongly support Catholic education through our parochial school and faith formation program. We strive to grow in our love of God and to be good stewards of our time, talents and resources.

St. Mary’s Cemetery News
REMINDER…..Items can not be placed on the ground at the base of monuments. If you have items on the ground, please remove them promptly. Items left around a monument on the ground present a hazard to caretakers. Flowers or other keepsakes may be placed ON monument and must be secured.
Garage cans have been removed from the cemetery as people were dumping household garbage in the cans. THE CEMETERY IS CARRY IN-CARRY OUT! When you remove flowers from a loved-ones monument, PLEASE take it home for disposal.
Caretakers are not responsible for items left at the gravesites.

Faith Formation News
Registration form for the 2022-2023 year
Religious Education Classes for Grades 1 – 10 will begin on September 25th.
For the Sacrament of Confirmation, a young person should be in the program for two years, for the 9th and 10th.
Important for Confirmation: Catholic High Schools DO NOT provide Confirmation Instruction. It is necessary to register with your parish Faith Formation/Religious Education Program.
Church is open daily, Monday through Friday, for private prayer from 7:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m.
Sanitizer stations are available at the entrances of church for your use.
The parish office is open to visitors.
