Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process by which the Church says “Come and See”. The RCIA is a journey for those who are interested in becoming Catholic, or for baptized Catholic’s that did not receive Confirmation, or simply finding out more about the Catholic faith. RCIA is a process of sharing Catholic teaching, Scripture and spiritual formation. RCIA has a long tradition within the Catholic Church. For centuries it was the primary way that people entered the Christian community. It continues to be a rich opportunity for instruction and spiritual transformation for any adult seeking a deeper understanding of the Catholic tradition or full incorporation into the Catholic Church. The instruction consist of an in-depth study of the Nicene Creed (a creed is a statement of our belief(s), a review of the sacraments and any questions you have about Catholic beliefs and practices. If you are interested in becoming part of this process, please contact Cathleen Olmstead at 518-237-3131 ext. 23.
