Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process by which the Church says “Come and See”. The OCIA is a journey for those who are interested in becoming Catholic, or for baptized Catholic’s that did not receive Confirmation, or simply finding out more about the Catholic faith. OCIA is a process of sharing Catholic teaching, Scripture and spiritual formation. OCIA has a long tradition within the Catholic Church. For centuries it was the primary way that people entered the Christian community. It continues to be a rich opportunity for instruction and spiritual transformation for any adult seeking a deeper understanding of the Catholic tradition or full incorporation into the Catholic Church. The instruction consist of an in-depth study of the Nicene Creed (a creed is a statement of our belief(s), a review of the sacraments and any questions you have about Catholic beliefs and practices. If you are interested in becoming part of this process, please contact Mrs. Lee Ann Hamilton at 518-237-3131 ext. 23.
